The story here is that the new HBO service will work without a *TV* subscription. Yep, you still need to subscribe to a broadband provider — but you don’t need their *TV* service.
Where I live, an Internet-only Charter subscription is roughly half the price of a “triple-play” subscription. Access to a TCM movie once in awhile or something like that would cost me $600 a year. (to add the TV subscription) Not worth it.
Still not sure I’d bother to buy any on-demand programs but as long as access is $600/year I’m not even asking the question.
